"Children are like tiny flowers; they are varied and need care, but each is beautiful alone and glorious when seen in the community of peers." Friedrich Froebel,
All of the activities and curriculum at Ren School are rooted in the tradition of the famous educator Friedrich Froebel, renowned to be the founder of the "kindergarten" concept.
With Froebel's bilingual immersion concept, children learn an additional language (Mandarin Chinese) in the same way that they learn their first language -- through daily play and learning opportunities provided by our native Chinese speaking teaching professionals. The essential literacy skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) are key elements in learning Mandarin Chinese. Each day, your child will have activities and Mandarin learning opportunities as well as traditional, English instruction. As with any school, a whole language and phonics approach is still the heart in learning English language at our center.
Our teachers implement the creative concept into all of our daily activities and promote inquiry-based learning. Weekly, our teachers will share with you their learning themes, as well as the projects and lessons. From hands-on science exploration to art classes with classically trained artists, your child will be encouraged to use critical thinking skills and explore their world in a safe, positive environment.
